One last hurrah for Smelda the Peasant!
The tour is to run once more after an encore for our dear putrid pleb.
Smelda’s had a cracking summer - found herself transported all the way t’twentifirst century and took it upon herself to educate the local scallywags on how it was in her day. “Yuppified and fancy, nowadays” was how Smelda described the town of Skipton, but that’s not the Skipton she knows, no, her Skipton is full of misery, malice, and many a funky stench.
Wandering around the town with the locals on their “Summer holibobs” was a delight for Smelda, who discovered that this kind of break entails wonderful things you folk have invented, like ice cream and planes (she still can’t get her head around them). She just didn’t want the summer holibobs to end, so she’s decided to elongate her stay by one week, opening a very special final two tours on Sunday, 13th September.
This could well be your last chance to meet Smelda Brown and wander with her round Skipton’s smelliest spots, so get a wiggle on and book for her last hurrah before she gets back to her humble 1700s farm and has to organise chicken eggs again.
A note from Smelda herself (written by me, she’s had some lessons, absolute waste of time):
Thank you alleth, who joineth me on me-eth toureth this year-eth…
Me: Smelda, you don’t have to talk like that.
Smelda: But it’s all fancy ent’ it? On your widget didget things?
Me: No, just talk normally Smelda.
Smelda: Alright.
“Thanks everyone for joining me on my summer tour! I’ve had a blast and I hope you have too. I hope my song’s created something of an earworm for you and all. You can still leave me a review you know - it’s not too late! I can’t wait to holiday back in’t twentifirst century again, if you’ll have me. Hope to see you all again one day soon! And remember, the spirit of the sheep shall be with you always. Unless you’re a wyvern, in which case, I’m off! Cast your eyes on some of these lovely pictures from my summer! I can’t wait to show my coven - er - pals - back home!”
